元々はPrince殿下がプロデュースしたThe Familyに提供した曲。男性ボーカルと女声コーラスの響きが非常に美しいバラード。Sinéad O'Connorがカバーしたモノの方が有名かも。あと殿下もセルフカバーしている。
矢井田瞳さんもカバーしているらしい。歌詞検索したら英語カバーだったけど、原曲では「15日と7時間」だったのが、なぜか「3時間と16日」になっている。Sinéad O'Connor版もそうなのかな？*1
この曲の歌詞は受験英語に頻出する表現が多くて、今でも歌詞を空で覚えている。
